HOCKEY GREATS

This page is dedicated to the greatest players to grace the rink. Every month I will add a different player, if you want to know more about each player then click on their name to take you to their stats and info. I can put players from all over the world on here and if you have any suggestions or players from your national league then get in touch and we can see what we can do.

MARIO LEMIEUX

I had to put Super Mario on first as for me this is the player that made me love hockey. As soon as I played NHLPA and Mario Lemieux hockey on the Sega Megadrive i just loved the Penguins and Mario. This guy brought a franchise up from the depths of near extinction and lifted a city up. He was just a special player and I just wish I could have seen this guy play live. His records speak for themselves and if it weren’t for the injuries and illnesses he had over the years who knows what he could have achieved? He then bought the club and what he has achieved as an owner is just outstanding.

Well the next one on the list had to be the man himself! Wayne Gretzky, what is there to be said that no one already knows. The man has held or does hold just about every record there is or has been in points over the years and lifted numerous Stanley Cups with the Edmonton Oilers. He was also involved in the biggest trade ever within the game which caused a stir with the fans of Edmonton. He is a legend and is a role model for the game.

JAROMIR JAGR

THE AGELESS WONDER

Jaromir Jagr is a phenom. Still currently playing into his 40’s and has always played a part in every team he’s played for. Lifted 2 Stanley Cups back to back with Pittsburgh in the early 90’s and has managed to keep himself in great shape to keep competing still.
